Choose the connection type that suits your setup
This model is available in two connection types. Select the option that best suits your needs:
- Socket (untethered): Type 2 socket with no cable included. Use your own charging cable.
- Tethered: Includes a fixed 5m Type 2 charging cable for simple plug-in use.
Socketed flexibility (bring your own cable)
The socketed version gives you maximum flexibility. You can use different cable types depending on your vehicle, and swap cables as needed.
- Type 2 to Type 2 (most NZ-new EVs)
- Type 2 to Type 1 (many Japanese imports, e.g. Nissan Leaf)
- Type 2 to NACS (for compatible Japanese Import Teslas)
These cables can also be taken with you and used at public AC chargers that require you to bring your own cable. This makes the socketed version especially useful if you have multiple vehicles, or if friends and family visit with different EVs.
High-performance charging
When installed on a three-phase supply, the X22 can deliver significantly faster charging speeds, making it ideal for reducing charge times or supporting higher usage.
Smart and solar-aware
The charger can work alongside solar setups and automatically adjust charging to make better use of available energy.

Installation
This charger must be installed by a registered electrician. Three-phase charging requires a suitable three-phase supply. Charging performance will depend on your vehicle, cable, and available electrical capacity.
Important
An internet connection is required for full smart functionality. The charger can operate without connection for limited periods, but smart features will be unavailable.
